Austin DeNoce
Austin DeNoce did not go to school for finance, as he was still a lost soul finding his way, but he did find philosophy, and as much as he loves financial markets, he wouldn’t trade it for the world. It’s philosophy that led him to his passion for critical thinking and first-principles approach to learning, and it was philosophy that taught him how to think, not what to think—a skill that is few and far between these days.
Fast-forwarding to today, finance is the new object of Austin's fascination. He is an avid researcher, writer, day trader, content creator, personal investor, and entrepreneur who has spent the last several years building out The Investor’s Gate platform to create and democratize educational resources aimed at simplifying money, markets, economics, and the global financial system. Throughout his venture into this new world, his lessons in critical thinking have found a new home within markets—a topic for which he has an endless supply of curiosity, passion, and motivation.
We have all been blessed to live in the age of the internet, where information is available to those who seek it, and expertise is a matter of patience and drive, not alma mater. Austin believes everyone's knowledge and abilities can speak for themselves because patience, drive, and countless hours of self-education are worth more than any degree or paper credentials.
Joining the world of finance as an outsider has offered Austin a unique perspective and, perhaps more importantly, left him far more motivated to prove himself. If nothing else, Austin hopes to demonstrate that, irrespective of where you start, hard work is the true currency of success and drive is all you need to afford results. Let your hunger for success only be outweighed by your thirst for learning, and let nothing but your motivation to succeed stand in your way.
